What is the Covid-19 Protective Antibody Test?
Our patent-pending Covid-19 Protective Antibody Test (DevNAb) is a test that detects Protective (neutralizing) antibodies that can help prevent infection. These protective antibodies typically develop after exposure to COVID-19 or COVID-19 vaccination. Our patent-pending DevNAb test qualitatively detects the presence of neutralizing antibodies to the Covid-19 virus. The presence of neutralizing antibodies is indicative of a protective immune response.
These antibodies bind to a specific section of the pathogen. The presence of these antibodies have been shown to lower the viral infection of cells from SARS-CoV-2 according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Similarly, some Covid-19 antibody tests refer to tests that detect the presence of antibodies that bind to the pathogen, but are not necessarily involved in the decrease of the infection. This is not the required test for travel purposes or to determine whether you are currently infected.

Who Should Take the Covid-19 Neutralizing Antibody Test?
Anyone interested in determining whether they have been not only exposed to the Covid-19 virus, but whether they have Covid-19 protective (neutralizing) antibodies which indicate a level of immunity to the Covid-19 virus. Alternatively, individuals who have had the Covid-19 vaccine may be interested to determine if Covid-19 protective (neutralizing) antibodies are present.

How Is the Sample Collected?
The sample is a serum sample from a blood draw at our facility or one of our collection locations. You can remain in your car and our nurse will draw your blood.
